Applications

Appeartex technology can be used in many different materials and provide increased hygiene value to various types of end products.

Examples of applications and products are:

• Nonwoven material
• Protective clothing
• Medical products for hospitals and health institutions (as paper sheets, curtains, packaging, etc.)
• Cleaning & hygiene products (eg. wet wipes)

Areas that are relevant for the Appeartex technology:

• Restaurant and catering (approval exists for direct contact with food)
• Hospitals & Health Care
• Veterinary and animal care

Appeartex can be provided in water or alcohol based formulations for surface treatment alone or when the current re-activation of the surface is needed. The wetting properties on various different surface materials are important to get a comprehensive film on the intended surface. Appeartex has developed formulations adapted to various different surface materials.

Combination formulations that achieve multiple tasks using a single solution are also possible. Examples of formulations are:

• 2-in-1 products where the Appeartex polymers are combined with cleaning or disinfection effects
• 3-in-1 products where the Appeartex polymers are combined with cleaning and disinfection effects.

Surface modification formulations can be either water or alcohol based.
