The Mission

Appeartex mission is to offer for human welfare and health a simple and cost effective way to prevent infection by bacteria without adverse effects on humans or the environment.

A growing problem in the world today is that resistant bacteria spread more frequently, and therefore bacterial control faces a new challenge, where innovative solutions and technologies are needed.

The net negative surface charge of bacteria and other microorganisms (not including viruses) is a general feature that allows a new way to control the activity of bacteria on surfaces without chemically interfering with the cell's intracellular metabolism.

The negative charge is used by the bacteria for a variety of purposes such as absorption on surfaces, transport of substances, and the maintenance of ion balance over the cell membrane, etc. Generally, the greater the number of physiological functions a property is related to, the more difficult it is (i.e. more mutations are required) to change the structure and composition. Genetic changes in such cases often lead to a deterioration of the functionality of the bacteria.

The use of Appeartex polymers for coating on surfaces in health care areas or other public places is an excellent choice for an alternative way to control contamination and spreading of bacteria.
